Playa es Niu Blau

The beach attracts families, couples and visitors staying along the eastern coast who want an easy day without the scale of a major resort. Summer services and nearby places to eat make it practical, yet the atmosphere remains relaxed because the bay is modest and the urban edge is partly softened by trees.

The water is often inviting in settled weather, but the beach still faces ordinary Mediterranean changes in wind and wave direction. Swimmers should follow flags and keep clear of any marked craft area. Natural shade shifts throughout the day, so the pines should not be treated as a substitute for proper sun protection.

Es Niu Blau is a compact sandy beach north of Santa Eularia, also known locally as S'Estanyol and set between Sa Caleta and Cala Pada. Pine trees, clear-looking water and a lightly developed residential backdrop give it a calmer character than the town's main seafront.

Es Niu Blau lies only a short distance from Santa Eularia des Riu, whose promenade, marina and broad town beach provide the nearest concentration of shops and services. The coastal route between Santa Eularia and Es Canar links several small beaches, including Cala Pada and Cala Martina, making this a useful stop on a wider eastern-shore outing.

The alternative name S'Estanyol can cause confusion because Ibiza has several places with similar names. Here it refers specifically to this Santa Eularia beach near the Can Sanso residential area, not to beaches elsewhere on the island.

A short band of pale sand curves between low rocky edges, with pines and coastal homes behind it. The bay is visually enclosed without high cliffs, and the water takes on strong blue-green tones when the sea is calm.

The setting is more intimate than dramatic. Boats, rock, sand and woodland sit close together, while the open eastern horizon remains visible beyond the cove. Es Niu Blau works best for visitors who appreciate a manageable beach, a green frame and easy access to Santa Eularia without needing the full infrastructure of the town centre.
