19 live coastal locations across the French Riviera, Côte d'Azur, Monaco and Corsica

// Live Conditions — French Riviera & Corsica

I Spy Sun monitors 19 French coastal locations in real time, covering the full length of the Côte d'Azur from St. Tropez and Fréjus through Cannes, Antibes and Nice to Villefranche-sur-Mer, Èze and the border villages of Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Menton, the hill villages of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Valbonne, La Turbie and Sainte-Agnès, the sovereign microstate of Monaco, and the dramatic island coastlines of Corsica. Live UV index, wave height, wind speed, water temperature and air quality are updated every 10 minutes using the Météo-France AROME high-resolution model — the most accurate forecast available for the French Mediterranean coast.

The French Mediterranean coastline has two very different personalities. The Riviera offers sheltered, warm blue water and a glamorous beach culture — but is subject to the Mistral, a powerful cold northwesterly wind that can arrive suddenly and turn calm conditions rough within hours. Corsica is wilder and more exposed — particularly the Strait of Bonifacio, one of the most challenging sailing passages in the Mediterranean. Marine warnings for all locations are sourced directly from MeteoAlarm and updated every 10 minutes.

🇫🇷 French Riviera — Côte d'Azur 6 locations

The glamorous Mediterranean coastline stretching from the Var coast through the Alpes-Maritimes to Monaco. Warm, calm blue water, beach clubs, superyacht harbours and world-class dining. Watch for Mistral wind events which can dramatically change sea conditions without warning.

French Riviera — The Villages 10 villages

The intimate side of the Riviera — some strung along the corniches between Nice and the Italian border, others set back in the hills behind the coast. Valbonne with its arcaded square and Friday market in the hills behind Antibes, Saint-Paul-de-Vence behind its ramparts inland of Cagnes, Cagnes-sur-Mer itself stacking the medieval Haut-de-Cagnes and Renoir's olive gardens above its own seafront, Villefranche-sur-Mer around one of the deepest natural harbours on the coast, Èze perched on its rocky outcrop 429 metres above the sea, La Turbie and its Roman trophy on the ridge above Monaco, Beausoleil rising directly above Monte-Carlo, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin's pine-shaded coves beneath a medieval hilltop village, Menton's lemon-scented old town and warm micro-climate, and Sainte-Agnès on its rock nearly 800 metres above the sea — quieter waters, village markets and the same live conditions coverage.

Corsica — Corse-du-Sud 2 locations

Southern Corsica — from the spectacular limestone cliffs of Bonifacio perched above the windswept Strait, to the chic turquoise coves and red granite coastline of Porto-Vecchio. Wild, beautiful and demanding waters for sailors and experienced swimmers.

Corsica — Haute-Corse 1 location

Northern Corsica — the sweeping bay of Calvi, dominated by a 15th-century Genoese citadel and backed by fragrant pine forests. More exposed than the Riviera, with real Atlantic-influenced swell in winter and outstanding diving along the Revellata peninsula.
