Playa de Manyetes

Manyetes appeals to visitors who want facilities nearby without the concentrated activity of central Alcossebre. Families, campsite guests and walkers use the northern sandy area, while the stonier southern sections feel quieter and require more careful footing. Summer is sociable, yet the beach usually retains a more open rhythm than Carregador.

The mixed shoreline affects how the water is entered. Smooth stones can move underfoot, and waves may feel stronger where the beach becomes steeper, so flags and local guidance should be followed. Suitable footwear is useful for exploring beyond the softest sand, and dune vegetation should never be crossed outside recognised routes.

Playa Manyetes is a semi-urban beach on the southern Alcossebre coast, positioned between the smaller cove district and the more natural Serradal shoreline. Sand, rounded stones and a botanically varied dune zone meet here, giving the beach a transitional character rather than one uniform surface.

Nearby camping and low holiday development provide the immediate human setting. Alcossebre's main restaurants and marina lie farther north, while the small coastal district of Capicorb and the Ermita de Sant Antoni stand to the south within the wider municipality.

The chapel near Capicorb recalls a local tradition linked with an image of Saint Anthony found in the late seventeenth century. It is not on the beach itself, but it gives the southern Alcossebre coast a specific cultural reference beyond hotels and summer accommodation.

Manyetes lies in a zone of change. Fine sand is more evident in one sector, rounded pebbles and rock become stronger elsewhere, and low dunes support a notable range of coastal plants. This mosaic makes the beach visually varied over a relatively short distance.

Southward, Serradal becomes longer, stonier and more natural beside the mouth of the Sant Miquel watercourse; northward, the coast returns towards Tres Playas and El Moro. Manyetes is best understood as the link between these settings, combining serviced beach use with the first clear signs of Alcossebre's wilder southern shore.
