About Playa de Cala Fustera
The beach feels organised without becoming a large resort strand. Families value the sand, picnic area and seasonal lifeguard service, while swimmers and snorkellers explore the rocky sides in suitable conditions. Kayak and paddleboard activity may add movement around marked areas during the main season.
La Fustera is small enough to become busy quickly, so early arrival gives a calmer experience. The water often looks clear, but Posidonia, rock and changing swell require normal caution. Accessible facilities, including adapted entry equipment in season, make this cove more practical than Benissa's rougher pebble beaches. Toilets, foot-washing points and nearby coastal visitor information reduce the need to return to the road during the day.

The Setting
La Fustera is Benissa's principal sandy beach, a compact cove of golden sand set between rocky outcrops and Mediterranean vegetation. It offers the municipality's broadest combination of swimming, family facilities, coastal walking and environmental interpretation.
Casa dels Cents Vents stands close to the beach and houses Tourist Info Benissa Playa and the Aula del Mar. This provides a useful environmental and visitor-services focus directly beside the coast rather than in the inland town.
The Benissa Ecological Walk begins or passes through the area, linking La Fustera with Pinets, Llobella, L'Advocat and Baladrar. The route allows a beach day to include viewpoints and short walks without using the road, although sturdy footwear is preferable to beach sandals on rough sections.
La Fustera is approximately 110 metres long and enclosed by low cliffs, rock shelves and vegetation. Posidonia meadows occupy the seabed, and natural leaves may collect on the sand after storms or seasonal movement.
A nearby coastal cave and elevated viewpoints open wider perspectives towards the Penon de Ifach. The beach's visual appeal comes from the contrast between pale sand, blue-green water and scrub-covered rock. Unlike the almost service-free coves nearby, La Fustera balances natural scenery with comfort, making it the most complete introduction to Benissa's short but varied Mediterranean coastline.
