Playa Cala de l'Advocat

L'Advocat is family-friendly in scale, with a narrow beach and generally sheltered-looking water beside the breakwater. The limited space creates a sociable atmosphere in summer, especially near the main access and beach bar. Arriving early is sensible when a full day by the water is planned.

The shore changes between sand, pebbles and rock, so footwear helps both on land and around the edges. The breakwater reduces some wave action but cannot guarantee calm swimming, and flags or lifeguard advice should always guide decisions. Snorkellers often explore the rocky margins when visibility and sea state allow. The picnic area also makes short family visits easier to organise without leaving the cove.

Platgeta de l'Advocat is a small mixed sand-and-pebble cove on the Benissa coast, protected in part by a short rocky breakwater. It combines a compact natural setting with more practical facilities than the wilder neighbouring coves.

The cove connects with Benissa's Ecological Walk, allowing visitors to continue towards Baladrar, Llobella, Pinets and La Fustera. This route turns a small beach visit into a broader exploration of ravines, cliffs and viewpoints along the municipality's coastline.

A seasonal beach bar, toilets and picnic facilities make L'Advocat practical without changing its small-cove character. The historic centre of Benissa remains inland, so the beach is anchored more strongly to the coastal path and nearby residential area than to a seafront town.

The cove is around forty-five metres long and only a few metres wide. The Cantalar cliff rises nearby and continues towards Punta Fosca, creating a firmer rocky frame than at the open sandy beaches farther south.

Clear-looking water, the breakwater and the mixed shoreline produce several distinct textures within a very small area. Pine and Mediterranean scrub soften the built access behind the beach, while views open across the bay towards the Penon de Ifach. L'Advocat is not spacious, but its combination of shelter, services and rocky scenery explains why it remains one of Benissa's most approachable small coves.
