About Playa de la Glea
La Glea feels spacious even when summer activity is strong. Families, walkers and water-sport users share a long strand where the central access points are sociable but quieter sections remain available farther along. The beach works equally well for a morning swim, a long shoreline walk or a day based close to services.
The sandy entry often appears gentle, but this is still an open Mediterranean frontage. Visitors should follow flags, respect marked craft lanes and avoid swimming close to marina approaches. The size of the beach can encourage confidence, yet sea conditions vary along its full length.

The Setting
Playa de la Glea is one of Orihuela Costa's largest sandy beaches, extending east of the Campoamor marina below the wooded slopes of Dehesa de Campoamor. Its broad shore, promenade access and nearby pine area make it suitable for a full family beach day.
Puerto Deportivo de Campoamor defines the western end and separates La Glea from Barranco Rubio. The harbour brings boats and sailing activity close to the beach without turning the strand into a working port.
A short bridge from the bathing area leads towards the pine woodland of Dehesa de Campoamor, where shaded paths and picnic spaces provide a useful contrast to the exposed sand. The combination of marina and pines gives La Glea two strong anchors: one maritime and recreational, the other green and restful.
Fine golden sand stretches for more than half a kilometre beneath a mixed backdrop of low cliffs, vegetation and residential buildings. The shoreline is broad and gently curving, with the marina closing one end and the coast running east towards the Aguamarina sector.
The beach is developed but not dominated by a continuous high-rise wall. Trees and slopes interrupt the built edge, while the generous width keeps the Mediterranean horizon open. La Glea's character rests on scale: a large sandy expanse where coastal forest, urban Campoamor and harbour activity can all be seen within a single walk.
