About Playa Dels Palangrers
The mood is local and understated. Regular swimmers, anglers and visitors walking the coast use the beach, while the nearby harbour keeps boats and maritime activity in view. There is limited room compared with La Punta or Rastrell, so a few groups can make the shore feel busy.
Palangrers is best suited to a shorter swim or a pause during a coastal walk. Footwear can be useful around coarse sections and rock, and bathers should remain alert to boat traffic and the deeper water away from shore. The cove is not designed around extensive resort services.

The Setting
Els Palangrers is a small beach immediately east of Roses' fishing port, tucked below the coastal road as the shoreline begins to turn towards Canyelles. Its compact sandy and stony shore offers a quieter alternative to the broad urban beaches around the main promenade.
The fishing port is the defining anchor. Roses remains an active maritime town, and the fleet, auction facilities and harbour walls shape the immediate setting. Seafood restaurants and the old centre are within easy reach to the west.
Eastward, the coastal route leads towards Canyelles Petites and L'Almadrava, marking the gradual change from urban seafront to the rockier edge of Cap de Creus.
The beach occupies a small indentation between harbour infrastructure and low rocky coast. The surrounding road and buildings are visible, but the open view across the Bay of Roses remains broad.
Rock at the edges continues beneath the water, where calm conditions may suit snorkelling. The shore can narrow during higher water or rough weather, and there is little natural shade.
Palangrers faces southwest, giving it attractive afternoon light and views back towards the town. Its value lies in location rather than scale: visitors can step away from the port, reach a modest beach within minutes and still feel the transition towards a more rugged coastline. It is an honest town-edge cove, shaped by fishing, rock and the open bay.
