About Playa Dels Canyerets
The cove feels secluded, natural and far removed from the town promenade. Visitors come for deep clear-looking water, swimming and quiet time beneath pine and holm oak slopes. Its long, narrow shape limits the amount of dry sand, so summer can feel busy even with relatively few people.
Unlike many nearby coves, Canyerets has a sandy shore without reefs immediately in front. The water becomes deep, making the beach better for confident swimmers than for children needing a very gradual entry. Wind and swell can enter directly, and there are few alternatives once conditions turn rough.

The Setting
Canyerets is a narrow sandy cove on the western coastline of Sant Feliu de Guixols, surrounded by the wooded Ardenya massif. It is reached through the Rosamar area in neighbouring Santa Cristina d'Aro, giving the beach an unusual access route despite lying within Sant Feliu's municipality.
Rosamar provides the practical access point from the winding coastal road between Sant Feliu and Tossa de Mar. The settlement is small and surrounded by forest, with the larger range of services found back in Sant Feliu.
The Ardenya-Cadiretes massif is the defining natural anchor. Its granite and wooded slopes descend sharply to the sea, creating a coast of cliffs, coves and limited road access.
Canyerets is the only sandy cove on Sant Feliu's western coast. Pine and holm oak cover the slopes almost to the shore, while rocky walls close the beach on both sides. The cove is narrow but extends inland farther than many neighbouring inlets.
The depth and absence of shallow reefs give the water a strong open-blue appearance in calm weather. Shade gradually reaches the edges as the sun moves behind the surrounding land.
Access, parking and seasonal arrangements can change, so visitors should check local information before travelling. Canyerets rewards the extra planning with a rare combination of sand, deep water and forested enclosure on an otherwise rugged stretch of Costa Brava. The approach itself reinforces that sense of escape.
