About Playa de l'Almadrava
The shore attracts walkers, anglers and visitors who prefer a smaller, quieter beach close to town facilities. Boats and harbour activity remain visible, yet the atmosphere is less animated than on the main urban strand. The narrow width creates an intimate feel, although space can become limited when waves push farther up the beach.
The mixed surface rewards suitable footwear, particularly near the waterline. Swimmers should remain aware of rocks, boat movement and any marked channels around the harbour approaches. Seasonal supervision and services may be more limited than at Muchavista or Carrer la Mar, so local signs should be checked before settling in.

The Setting
L'Almadrava is a narrow urban beach immediately north of El Campello's harbour and below the approach to the Illeta dels Banyets. Its mixture of gravel, coarse sand and stone gives it a firmer, quieter character than nearby Carrer la Mar.
The Illeta dels Banyets is the strongest local landmark. The rocky peninsula preserves archaeological remains from several periods, including Iberian and Roman occupation, while rock-cut pools traditionally known as the Banys de la Reina show the long connection between this point and the sea.
El Campello's fishing and leisure harbour lies beside the beach, continuing that maritime relationship in modern form. The old town and Carrer la Mar are close enough for restaurants and everyday services, but L'Almadrava remains a separate shoreline with its own surface and atmosphere.
The beach follows a slim curve beneath low residential development and a simple seafront path. Gravel and golden-brown sand meet moderate open-water conditions, while the harbour closes part of the southern view and the Illeta shapes the northern side.
Because the shore is narrow, the surrounding landmarks feel unusually close. Archaeological rock, marina masts, sea walls and the Mediterranean appear in one compact scene. L'Almadrava is best understood as the connective beach between El Campello's harbour and ancient peninsula, where town history and present-day maritime activity meet in one compact, distinctive setting.
