About Playa de Mutxavista
The scale creates a relaxed feeling even when the beach is busy. Families, runners, cyclists and water-sport users spread along a wide frontage, while morning exercise gradually gives way to swimming, sunbathing and beach games. Restaurants and residential streets animate the promenade without turning every section into the same experience.
The waterline usually feels open and approachable, but this is a long exposed shore rather than a sheltered cove. Wind can raise short waves and create different conditions along the beach, so flags should be checked at the nearest supervised sector. Shade is limited on the sand, and distances between chosen access points can be greater than they first appear.

The Setting
Muchavista is El Campello's long southern beach, continuing the sandy shoreline north from Alicante's Playa de San Juan. More than three kilometres of fine golden sand, a broad promenade and tram access give it a spacious urban character with strong links to both municipalities.
Muchavista belongs to El Campello and meets Playa de San Juan at the Alicante boundary. The tram line running behind the seafront is one of its most useful features, linking beach stops with El Campello's centre and Alicante without requiring a car.
The Riu Sec marks the transition towards Carrer la Mar at the northern end. El Campello's harbour and Illeta dels Banyets lie farther beyond that point, while Alicante's city attractions remain to the south. This makes Muchavista a connecting beach as well as a destination in its own right.
A broad strip of pale-gold sand meets a gently curving Mediterranean horizon. The promenade, low planting and residential buildings form a continuous rear edge, but the exceptional width of the shore keeps the scene open.
There are no cliffs or enclosing headlands. The landscape is defined by length, repeated access points and the changing view towards the distant Alicante hills. Muchavista's identity comes from continuity: one expansive beach, shared visually with Playa de San Juan but firmly rooted in El Campello's southern coastline.
