The atmosphere is active without depending on nightlife. Swimmers, children, runners and promenade walkers share a shoreline more than a kilometre long, while cafes, shops and restaurants provide an easy transition between sand and town. The beach's size allows busy central areas and quieter sections farther from the principal accesses.

Water conditions can look gentle across the bay, but the flag system remains the correct guide. Seasonal platforms, rental craft and marked zones influence how parts of the water are used. The exposed sand provides little natural shade, so longer visits require proper protection from the midday sun.

Arenal-Bol is Calp's principal southern urban beach, a long stretch of fine golden sand facing the open bay below the town centre. Its broad promenade, palm planting and extensive services make it suitable for families, walkers and visitors who want the beach integrated with everyday resort life.

Calp's old town lies inland behind the modern seafront, with historic streets, sections of wall and the Torre de la Peca offering a contrast to the apartment-lined promenade. The Penon de Ifach closes the eastern side of the bay and serves as a constant point of orientation.

Towards that end of the beach, the Banos de la Reina archaeological area preserves Roman fish-farm channels and remains beside the sea. Visitors should view the site from recognised paths and avoid using ancient rock-cut structures as informal swimming pools.

Arenal-Bol extends for roughly 1.2 kilometres, with fine sand, small palms and a broad pedestrian edge. The western view runs towards the Toix headland, while the eastern horizon is dominated by the Penon and the transition to Cantal Roig.

The setting is unmistakably urban, yet the two rocky headlands give the bay a clear natural frame. Morning light reaches the water early, and evening walks reveal the full curve of Calp's waterfront. Arenal-Bol succeeds through scale and connection: beach, promenade, town and archaeological coastline all sit within an easy walking landscape.
