Playa Dels Pescadors

The atmosphere is lively and accessible, with a strong family focus during the main holiday months. Families, swimmers, beach-sport users and visitors from nearby hotels share the shore, while the generous length allows different sections to develop their own rhythm. The area closest to the central promenade is the most active in summer.

Pescadors is exposed to the open Mediterranean and can be windy, with moderate waves rather than permanently flat water. The coarse-grained sand slopes into the sea more decisively than some shallow resort beaches, so bathers should follow flags and remain aware of changing conditions.

Platja dels Pescadors is the longest and most central beach in Pineda de Mar. It runs beside the main promenade and town centre, combining broad golden sand with the services, sports areas and family facilities expected from a well-used Maresme holiday beach.

The name recalls Pineda's fishing heritage, and small boats or maritime references continue to connect the modern beach with the town's earlier economy. The promenade provides an easy route between the sand, restaurants and central streets.

Pineda's old centre lies inland around the Church of Santa Maria, while the remains of a Roman aqueduct can be found beyond the built-up coast. These landmarks show that the town's history reaches far beyond its role as a summer destination.

The beach extends for roughly a kilometre along a straight, open shoreline. There are no enclosing cliffs, and the horizon remains wide, with the coast continuing north towards Els Pins and south towards La Riera and Poblenou.

The railway runs parallel to the beach, as it does through much of the Maresme, but the promenade and broad sand soften the division between town and sea. Storms can reshape the waterline and alter the width of the upper beach.

Pescadors is best understood as Pineda's main public seafront: busy, practical and spacious, with enough length for both organised summer activity and a quieter walk away from the central access points.
