About Playa de Les Dunes
Les Dunes feels spacious, active and less enclosed by resort buildings. Families use the broad upper shore, walkers follow the long waterline and water-sports users gather around the nautical base. Even in summer, moving away from the principal access points generally creates more room.
The beach faces open Mediterranean conditions. Wind can build short, energetic waves, and the coarse sand may slope quickly towards deeper water. Swimmers should follow flags, remain within supervised sections and stay clear of marked launching channels used by small craft or boards.

The Setting
Platja de les Dunes occupies the western end of Santa Susanna's coastline, between the local riera and the boundary with Pineda de Mar. It is a broad beach of coarse golden sand backed partly by agricultural land, giving it a more open character than the hotel-fronted shore farther east.
Santa Susanna's nautical station is the clearest local anchor, supporting sailing and other organised water activities. The agricultural land behind the beach also matters: it recalls the fertile coastal plain that existed before the modern hotel district developed farther east.
The historic centre of Santa Susanna sits more than a kilometre inland. Old farmhouses, watchtowers and the green slopes beyond the N-II reveal a municipality with a rural identity that is easy to overlook from the holiday seafront.
Les Dunes extends from the Riera de Santa Susanna towards Platja dels Pins in Pineda de Mar. The shoreline is long and straight, with no cliffs to interrupt the horizon. Coarse sand and open sky dominate from the water's edge.
The riera marks the division from Llevant-Les Caletes. After heavy rain, visitors should give the outlet space and avoid bathing close to runoff. Behind parts of the beach, low vegetation and agricultural plots create a softer background than the dense hotel zone.
Storms can redistribute sand and alter the profile quickly. The beach's appeal comes from its scale and transitional setting: water sports and family recreation on one side, cultivated land and the quieter edge of Santa Susanna on the other.
